Climate, context, economic and cultural conditions are decisive parameters in our design. We aim to incorporate environmental sustainability into our design work wherever possible and strive to reduce the environmental impact of our projects both at the design stage and also during construction.
Our work ensures the relevant planning requirements are met through ongoing dialogue with the project team and through consultation with the planning authority regarding the sustainability measures to be incorporated in the project. This includes consideration of factors such as energy efficiency, water conservation, flood risk, and community impact.
Following guidelines set by the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) and the Code for Sustainable Homes we aim to reduce the impact of the construction on the environment through minimizing the loss of energy through the fabric of the building, improving the thermal properties of the existing fabric, specifying energy efficient materials and developing measures to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.
